School's Out, School's Out! :)

Probably one of the best things about being an occupational therapist and working in the schools or in academia is that all-so-wonderful-end-of-the-school-year release!  :)  In January of this year, I took on a 'small' part-time job teaching an online course on research methods for Texas Woman's University.  This was a two-credit course that really should've only taken about 5-10 hrs a week of my time; well, due to my vision difficulties (I am going blind from retinitis pigmentosa), it ended up taking 20-30+ hrs a week and I was so exhausted that I had to simply stop posting to this blog (along with a lot of my other desired occupations and projects).  I had a great class (all OTAs who have gotten a B.S. or B.A. degree and are currently pursuing an Master's of OT) and truly enjoyed teaching them and I love teaching about research methods.  Having said that, I'm so glad that "School's Out!" and I can turn my attention back to this blog along with some other projects that I'll be talking about soon.  :)  In the meantime, I'd love to hear what you are doing this summer!  :)
